Kinshasa, April 23th, 2023, (CPA).- The open days of the internal audit of the electoral file will go from Tuesday, April 25th to Thursday, May 4th, at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the CPA learned Sunday from a statement of this institution.
« In the interest of transparency and inclusion, the INEC is organizing from Tuesday, April 25th to Thursday May 4th, 2023, open days for the parties to the electoral process which will take place at its headquarters (…), » the text said.
This institution of support to democracy notes that « it is finalizing the consolidation and processing of data collected during the updating of the electoral file, including the detection of duplicates at the national level and the internal audit of the electoral file.
« These operations which have already started at the level of the INEC will continue until May 14th, 2023, » the statement said.
Among those invited to these days are the media, electoral observation missions, civil society organizations, political parties, religious denominations and the United Nations system.
Embassies and international non-governmental organizations, members of the government, the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM), the Senate, and the National Assembly are also invited to this operation.
