Kinshasa, May 18th, 2025 (CPA).- A trophy called ‘True Patriot’ has been awarded on Sunday during a ceremony in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, to a servant of God for loyal services rendered to the nation in evangelisation. ‘This diploma of merit and this trophy “The true patriot” that we are awarding to the prophet of the nation Denis Lessie, is for us a way of recognising the efforts that he never ceases to make in the evangelisation and spiritual guidance of the people of God at home and abroad’, has declared Theodore Lumu, president of the Association of Independent Journalists and Publishers of Congo (Ajeic).
According to him, “Ajeic does not wait for someone to die before coming to the funeral with a nice speech saying that he was this or that. ‘No, our association does it while the person concerned is living among us’, he has added. The representative of the National Union of the Press of Congo (UNPC), Octave Mukendi, has made it known that the journalist is the witness of what happens in society, he informs, educates, but also denounces abuses of power and corporate scandals.
‘He reports what is going on. Whether it’s good or bad, to inform and enable society to form an opinion. Today, Ajeic has not waited for the prophet Denis Lessie to die before recognising his merits. No. According to its credo, let’s love and acknowledge each other alive, this association has wanted to honour him for his prophecies and preaching, not only in DRC but throughout the world’, he has indicated. The winner, Prophet Denis Lessie, has thanked Ajeic, promising to continue to do his work in the fear of God. This ceremony has taken place in the Arche de Noe Church in Matete, a municipality in the centre of the Congolese capital.
