African Volleyball Cup: La Loi (DRC) snatches its first victory over Soccicom (Senegal) (3-1)

Kinshasa, April 6th, 2025 (CPA) – La Loi of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has snatched its first victory over Soccicom of Senegal, by 3-1, on Sunday, at the Moshood Abiola Sport Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria, on the 3rd day of group C, of the African Women’s Volleyball Cup. The first set went against the Congolese club, with the Senegalese winning 25-11. The result of this set was merely a stimulus that prompted VC La Loi to react, winning the next two sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-15 respectively. The third set ended 2-1 in favour of DRC club. With this result so close at 2-1, the two teams were obliged to move on to the final set to settle the tie.  Taking advantage of this opportunity, VC La Loi came out on top, beating the Senegalese team 25-17. With this victory, VC La Loi qualified for the second round of the competition, finishing 3rd in Group C with 3 points from 3 matches.  For their part, despite finishing bottom of Group C with 0 points from as many matches played as their opponents, VC Soccicom will also play in the second round of this continental competition.
