African volleyball: GR (DRC) loses to FUS (Morocco) (0-3).

Misrata, April 24th, 2025 (CPA) – The VC Republican Guard of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) lost to Morocco’s VC Faith Union Sport (FUS), 0-3, on Wednesday at the International Hall in Misrata, Libya, on the 4th day of Group B of the Men’s African Volleyball Champions League. It was a one-sided encounter in which the Moroccans had no trouble at all against the Congolese, who were helpless throughout the three sets. In the first set, the Moroccan club proved superior, winning by a score of 11-25, a difference of 14 points. In the second set, Republican Guard was unable to react, allowing Faith Union Sport to take another 11-25 lead. Finally, in the third and final set, despite a timid reaction from the Congolese, the Moroccans remained solid, winning by a score of 18-25. With this result, the Republican Guard recorded their 4th defeat of the competition, placing last in Group B with 0 points from 4 matches. By contrast, Faith Union Sport (FUS) now have 6 points after 4 matches played. In their final match, Republican Guard will have to beat Uganda’s Nemostars (NEM) to salvage the country’s honor.
