Kinshasa, April 18th, 2025 (CPA) – An appeal for greater solidarity with those affected by the floods of April 4th to 5th in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, was launched to economic operators by the city’s governor, according to a press release issued on Thursday. “Following the emergency aid and accommodation provided to thousands of flood victims in Kinshasa from April 4 to 5, Governor Daniel Bumba has called for greater solidarity beyond the institutions in order to extend the assistance currently being provided,” read the statement from Kinshasa City Hall. According to the document, representatives of the industrial and economic sectors have taken note of the governor’s request and promised to respond favorably. He didn’t limit himself to a single visit. The head of the urban executive is visiting the victims in the accommodation centers every day”, the text from Kinshasa city hall recalls.
