China condemns the recruitment of its civil servants by a foreign agency

Kinshasa, May 6^th, 2025 (CPA) – The Chinese government has described on Tuesday as a ‘pure political provocation’ the videos published by the American intelligence agency (CIA) of the recruitment of its agents, condemning them in the ‘strongest possible terms’, the international media have reported. ‘The videos published by the CIA on social networks represent yet another damning confession of these actions. This is a serious attack against the national interests of China, as well as pure political provocation. China condemns this in the strongest possible terms’, has said Lin Jian, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs.  According to the same sources, the main US foreign intelligence agency had recently offered to divulge secret information to Chinese officials.  The CIA had published over the past week on the social network X, which is blocked in China, several videos that it presented as aimed at recruiting Chinese officials to ‘help the United States’. ‘The United States is not content with maliciously defaming and attacking China, it is openly trying to entice and lure Chinese nationals over to its side, even going so far as to directly target Chinese government officials. He has added.  The spokesman of the Chinese Ministry in charge of foreign has pointed out that the United States has long used all sorts of despicable means to steal secrets, interfere in the internal affairs or subvert the political systems of other countries.  The Chinese authorities had announced last month, that they were offering ‘bounties’ for the capture of three alleged US NSA ‘secret agents’ suspected of carrying out cyber-attacks against the Asian Winter Games, held in China in February. The US National Security Agency (NSA), one of the main US intelligence services, specialises in eavesdropping and cyber espionage. In addition, the China’s national security agency had reported in March,   that a former Chinese engineer had been sentenced to death in his country for passing classified information to a foreign intelligence agency.
