Congolese company Starlink DRC SA authorized to operate in the DRC

Kinshasa, 3 May 2025(ACP)- A license for telecommunications networks and services has been awarded to the Congolese company Starlink DRC SA, giving it the right to operate as an Internet access provider, according to a press release from the French Post and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (Arptc) which reached the CPA desk on Saturday.  ‘Starlink is now authorized to operate in the Democratic Republic of Congo as an internet service provider, following the regularization of its administrative situation,’ you can read. According to the press release, Starlink is a new information and communication technology initiated by the American Elon Musk, a billionaire close to President Donald Trump. It should be remembered that this decision by the Arptc follows the press release of 15 March concerning the regularization of the administrative situation of this company. ACP/
