DRC: implementation of the roadmap to boost entrepreneurship

Kinshasa, May 7th, 2025 (CPA). – The work of the technical team responsible for implementing the roadmap for accelerating the development of Congolese entrepreneurship was launched on Tuesday in Kinshasa (capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo), by the Minister of Industry and SME Development, the CPA learnt on Wednesday in a press release. ‘The Minister in charge of Industry and SME Development, Louis Watum Kabamba, launched the work of the technical team responsible for implementing the roadmap for accelerating the development of Congolese entrepreneurship. This is in line with the vision of the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo, as expressed at the 42nd ordinary meeting of the council of Ministers, it read.

According to the press release, this team, which is made up of experts from the Prime Minister’s Office and the sectoral ministries concerned, reflects the government’s desire to implement, as a matter of urgency and consistency, the presidential guidelines for the structural transformation of our economy by promoting a strong, inclusive and competitive national entrepreneurial sector. He pointed out that a number of measures had already been taken to promote and support the entrepreneurial and industrial ecosystem, and other measures were in the pipeline, demonstrating the government’s constant commitment to creating a favorable environment for the development of private initiatives. The press release stated that Minister Louis Watum Kabamba had given specific instructions for the diligent identification of actions with a rapid and visible impact, placing particular emphasis on cost control and the legibility of expected results. ‘This is a decisive step towards realizing the President’s vision of an emerging Congo, driven by its enterprising sons and daughters,’ he added.ACP/
