DRC-RWANDA: the President Tshisekedi’s active diplomacy well applauded (a youth forum)

Lubumbashi, July 1st, 2025 (CPA). – The active diplomacy of the President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi, result of which led to the signing of a peace agreement, has been applauded on Tuesday by the National Youth Forum (FNJ) of Haut-Katanga in the south-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to a press release. « In international law, the resolution of conflicts is mainly achieved through diplomacy. The Democratic Republic of Congo had already understood this.

We applaud this active diplomacy and the sustained passion of the President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, to restore a peaceful, strong and emerging Congo thanks to joint efforts, » it is read in the statement signed by Patrick Katengo Mafo, national president of the National Youth Forum (FNJ). ‘This agreement reflects the willingness of the country’s first citizen to honour, not by adding to other deaths, but in a more peaceful manner, the memory of the victims of this unjust aggression,’ he has continued.

‘A serious government like that of our country cannot sign an agreement that violates its sovereignty and its rights to its minerals. Those who speculate must stop their pessimism and look towards the outcome of this peace pact on the ground,’ he has insisted. Patrick Katengo Mafo specifies that the National Youth Forum believes in the rapid impact of this agreement on the ground in restoring peace in the eastern part of the country and reiterates the Trump administration’s wish to see the signatory countries, including Rwanda, honour their commitments.
