DRC: tax payment deadline remains 30 April 2025

Kinshasa, May 2^nd, 2025 (CPA) – The Finance Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo has reminded all taxpayers that the deadline for filing tax returns and paying taxes remains  April 30^th, 2025, in accordance with the legal provisions in force, according to a press release from the ministry consulted by the CPA on Thursday. ‘The Ministry in charge of Finance, Doudou Fwamba, reminds all taxpayers that the deadline for filing tax returns and paying taxes remains Wednesday, April 30^th, 2025, in accordance with the legal provisions in force’, it read. According to the press release, the Ministry denounced a document circulating on social networks announcing an alleged postponement of this deadline to May 31^st, 2025. The Finance Minister’s office firmly denies this information and confirms that no change has been made to the payment deadline. The office of the Minister in charge of Finance invites all taxpayers to refer exclusively to the official communication channels of the Ministry in charge of Finance and the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) for any information relating to tax obligations.
