DRC: weekly inflation rate stable at 0.16%

Kinshasa, April 15th, 2025(CPA).– The weekly inflation rate on the goods and services market in the Democratic Republic of Congo remained stable during the week of April 4th to 11th, 2025, according to the Central Bank of Congo’s conjuncture note, consulted Tuesday by CPA. It stood at 0.16%, the same level as the previous week.  “As at April 11, 2025, the weekly inflation rate stabilized at its level of the previous week, i.e. 0.16%,” it read. According to the source, year-to-date inflation slowed compared to the corresponding period in 2024, coming in at 2.68% versus 4.09%. In terms of contribution to the overall index, the “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” function recorded the largest share, at 52.09%, followed by “Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels”, at 12.67%.

According to the source, year-on-year inflation reached 10.2%, compared with 21.3% for the same period in 2024 and a forecast of 8.1% for the end of December 2025. ACP/
