Kinshasa, April 11th, 2025 (CPA) – Young entrepreneurs from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were encouraged on Thursday to strengthen their cooperation with Swiss companies in order to develop their businesses during a day of exchange called « Meet UP » in Kinshasa, the country’s capital. ‘This exchange with young Congolese entrepreneurs was an opportunity to encourage them to strengthen their contacts with Swiss companies in the hope of developing their businesses and contributing to the country’s emergence,’ has said Chasper Sarott, Swiss ambassador in DRC.
‘We presented the advantages and opportunities that cooperation between Switzerland and DRC can offer young entrepreneurs in areas such as vocational training, apprenticeships and this form of Swiss trade in DRC, which acts as a bridge between DRC and the embassy,’ he has added. Mr Sarott went on to say that this exchange had given him an insight into the development of Congolese entrepreneurship, particularly among the country’s young people, while also mentioning other Swiss cooperation activities with other countries.
