Kinshasa, June 3rd, 2025 (CPA). – The Congolese finalists of the 59th edition of the state exam (EXETAT) in the Democratic Republic of Congo were called upon during an interview on Tuesday to work hard to obtain the “Excellentia” scholarship, initiated by the “Denise Nyakeru” Foundation. “I am not only addressing the students of the Aurore Institute, my school, but to all finalists in DRC. The goal is clear: aiming for 85% or more. Yes, it is demanding. Yes, it is sometimes discouraging. But it is possible. You have already completed six or seven years of schooling; you have the basics. All you have to do is work hard, revise strategically, and believe in yourself,” has said Mar-alex Binwa Iragi, a former student at the Aurore School in Kinshasa and winner of the state exam 2023. “With 85%, you become eligible for the Excellentia test. And if you pass, a wonderful adventure begins: opportunities for higher education, quality support, and above all, recognition of your merit.
Finalists will be eligible for a 100% university scholarship, here or abroad,” he has added. On behalf of the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation, Mr. Binwa has encouraged these finalists who are proving themselves and are in the running for the 7th edition of Excellentia. “I believe in you. You can do it. Give it your best, believe in your potential,” he has insisted. Furthermore, student Gloria Nyemba, also a winner of the 2023 State Examination (EXETAT), has urged the finalists to work hard for the state exams. “I am sending you this message as an elder, a former finalist like you, and now a beneficiary of the Excellentia program, 5th edition, 2023. I know you are feeling stressed, pressured, and doubtful. I went through the same thing back then, I was struggling, but I persevered, and so can you,” she has said. The Excellentia Scholarship is a scholarship program primarily intended for students who have achieved good results in the state exam, with a pass rate of 85% or higher. It was launched by the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation to reward academic excellence in DRC and enable young people to continue their studies in good conditions.ACP/
