Kinshasa, May 28th, 2025 (CPA).- The Congolese Football Association (Fecofa) has announced on Wednesday in a statement that Aaron Wan Bissaka, who plays in the English Premier League, will not be joining the Leopards for their training camp in France in June for family reasons. ‘The Congolese Football Association (Fecofa) informs the public that the player Wan Bissaka will not be participating in the Leopards’ training camp scheduled to take place in France,’ it is read. According to the source, his absence is due to personal medical reasons requiring him to be with his wife, adding that Wan Bissaka has personally informed the Coach of the Leopards of DRC, Sebastien Desabre, of this exceptional situation and reaffirmed his total commitment to wearing the colours of DRC in upcoming sporting events, subject to his selection. As a reminder, DRC national team will face the Eagles of Mali on Thursday June 5th at 8pm and Madagascar’s Bareas on Sunday June 8th at 4pm at the Stade de Source in Orleans, France, in preparation for the Leopards’ next two matches, which count towards the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
