Kinshasa, July 1st, 2025 (CPA).- MK and AC Rangers, two clubs from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), have advanced to the semi-finals of the Congo Cup football tournament after qualifying in the quarter-finals, according to the tournament draw.
MK defeats and eliminates Wadile Mfumu (2-0)

from Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), has defeated Wadile Mfumu from Likasi, Lwalaba, in the south-east of the country, 2-0 on Tuesday at Kikula Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Congo Cup football competition. In this quarter-final match of the 59th Congo Cup, played in a single leg and knockout format, MK has led at half-time after Patrick Bidwaya (14th) has opened the scoring and Dark Kabangu (75th) has definitively knocked the wind out of Wadile Mfumu’s local team. MK, chasing a third title after those in 2013 and 2024, will now face AC Rangers of Kinshasa.
AC Rangers defeat Gexkol (4-3) on penalties

Shortly afterwards, the qualification of FC MK Kinshasa has been followed by that of another club from DRC capital, AC Rangers, who has defeated Gexkol (Gecamines Exploitation de Kolwezi) 4-2 on penalties, after the two teams have ended regulation time with a score of 1-1.
The two teams have scored during the four minutes of added time, with Gexkol’s goal coming in the 2nd minute from David Bumba Kwaji and AC Rangers’ goal coming in the 4th minute from Bofafaka Waka. CPA/
