Kinshasa, April 21st, 2025 (CPA) – Four women have been selected to perform at the charity concert called « Solidarity Congo » scheduled for April 22nd, 2025 in Paris, France, in aid of child victims of armed conflict in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to a press release received on Saturday by CPA.
‘Roseline Layo, Gloria Bash, Theodore and Celine Banza are the women artists who will be performing among the musicians at the “ Solidarity Congo” concert at the Accor Arena in Paris. This charity concert is being organised in aid of children who are victims of the atrocities of armed conflict in the east of DRC‘, it is read in the press release from ’Give back charity ».
“All the money collected will go to the emergency fund of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in partnership with the ‘Haut conseil de la diaspora Congolaise (High council of the Congolese diaspora) (Hcdc)’. These resources will be used to finance care programmes for children affected by this humanitarian crisis », the source has added.According to the same source, « the aim of the event is to raise public awareness and take action in response to the humanitarian crisis in the east of DRC, with particular emphasis on the plight of children in the east of the country held hostage by this war imposed by Rwanda via the AFC/M23 rebellion ».
