Kinshasa-Congo Football Cup: first semi-final between Katasi and Les Croyants

Kinshasa, April 18th, 2025 (CPA) – Katasi and Les Croyants, two clubs from Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), were announced on Friday at Kinshasa’s Tata Raphaël stadium as semi-finalists in the preliminary round of the men’s Congo Cup, according to the competition’s calendar, consulted on Thursday by CPA. According to the source, the match is scheduled to kick off at 13:00 in this old rocky amphitheater in the former May 20th district, in the municipality of Kalamu, in the center of the country’s capital. The dual will pit the two clubs, who respectively play in the Provincial Association of Soccer of Kinshasa Lukunga (Eufkin)-Lukunga division 1 championship and the Provincial Association of Soccer of Kinshasa (Epfkin) championship, against each other. After a good run up to this stage of the competition, President Kennedy Katasi’s protégés will approach this encounter with a high level of mental fitness, with a view to beating their opponents and validating their ticket for the final of this 59th edition of the Congo Cup. TP Les Croyants, the favorite team in this semi-final, must avoid a surge of pride by negotiating this match well, in order to ensure their qualification for the last four of this national competition.

After the clash between CS Katasi and TP Les Croyants, Nouvelle Vie Bomoko Binza FC of the Provincial Association of Soccer of Kinshasa (Epfkin) and RC Golf of division 2 of the Provincial Association of Soccer of Kinshasa (Eufkin)-Kilimani, will take to the field at this venue for a place in the final of the 59th Congo Football Cup, following the preliminary rounds in the capital, under the auspices of the League of Football of Kinshasa (Lifkin).  Congo of soccer, at the end of the preliminaries in the capital under the auspices of the Soccer League of Kinshasa (Lifkin).
