According to the document, the tax officers from the urban tax authority, assisted by the public prosecutor’s office, have carried out a raid to mark the start of this mission, with several cases on the docket. ‘On Avenue du 24 Novembre, the headquarters of UBA Bank has been sealed for non-payment of taxes, duties, fees and other charges owed to the City of Kinshasa,’ the source has indicated. And to add: ‘The team assigned to this mission has gone to the company “Le Monde en Aluminium”, located on Avenue des Poids Lourds, where this company specialising in the distribution of windows has been also sealed for non-payment of various revenue-generating acts.’ The text from the urban financial authority has specified that the operation carried out by this sealing mission is part of a procedure for enforced recovery from taxpayers. ‘In order to unseal, those responsible for these properties will have to regularise their situation with the urban tax administration.
