Kinshasa, April 28th, 2025 (CPA). –Thirty-five shopkeepers from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), have been trained in accounting by the urban directorate of the National Agency for the Development of Congolese Entrepreneurship (Anadec), according to a press release from this establishment consulted by the CPA on Saturday. ‘From April 24th to 25th, 2025, 35 shopkeepers and craftsmen in categories C and D from the Tshangu and Mont-Amba districts received training in accounting at the Limete entrepreneurship and innovation Centre, organized by DUK-Est. The session ended with Mr Mathieu Tshibumbu Muboyayi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Anadec, handing over the certificates’, it read. On this occasion, Mr Tshibumbu, quoted in the press release, stressed the importance of traders and craftsmen in the Congolese economy, recalling the role of Anadec in their training, supported by a 10% increase in the licence fee. He encouraged participants to use the tools they had learned to strengthen their entrepreneurial spirit. Chantal Malako, the trainees’ delegate, thanked Anadec for the two days of training, saying that the knowledge acquired would help them to better comply with economic standards and improve the business environment. Anadec is a Congolese government body that promotes national entrepreneurship by providing information and theoretical and practical training on how entrepreneurs can access project financing and public or private contracts, with a view to fostering the emergence of the Congolese middle classes.
