Kinshasa: the mobilisation of revenue among the challenges facing the the deputy burgomaster of Ngaliema

Kinshasa, May 14th, 2025 (CPA) – The mobilisation and channelization of revenue are among the challenges facing Ngaliema, a municipality to the west of Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the municipality’s the deputy burgomaster has said on Wednesday at his installation ceremony.  » There are several challenges ahead of us, in particular the mobilisation and reorganisation of the municipality’s revenues, as well as the many social problems that arise in the municipality, the fight against juvenile delinquency, the safety of people and their property, and the clean-up of the municipality « , has declared Fulgence Bolonkomo, the  deputy burgomaster of the municipality of Ngaliema. « All these challenges will be met to some extent by your agents and officials of the municipality  of Ngaliema, by getting down to work, and in this way we will be able to realise the vision of the Head of State, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo« , he has added. The deputy burgomaster has informed the agents and civil servants of his municipality that the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Interior, Security, Decentralisation and Customary Affairs, Me Jacquemain Shabani, has just honoured them by appointing someone from their ranks to run the municipality. He took the opportunity to salute the President of the Republic for his efforts to establish the rule of law in DRC. By ministerial decree of April 28th, 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister in charge of the Interior, appointed Mr Fulgence Bolonkomo Webeke as interim burgomaster. He will be assisted by Jules Kabuanga Tshipodiongo, who has been appointed deputy burgomaster. The provincial Minister in charge of the Interior, Security, Justice and Customary Affairs has presided over the handover ceremony in a friendly atmosphere. ACP/
