Kikwit, April 9th, 2025( CPA). – The Régie de distribution d’eau( Regideso) has resumed normal distribution of drinking water in Kikwit, an important town in Kwilu, in the south-west of the Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC, after a 48-hour shortage due to a breakdown of its generator, CPA observed on Wednesday after a round.

“Regideso has just resumed normal water distribution throughout the town of Kikwit after a water shortage due to a technical breakdown of its generator”, said Kalema Ndolo, Regideso’s interim center manager in Kikwit.  For their part, the population welcomed the stability of the water supply in the town, as during these two days they travelled long distances to obtain water, sometimes from untreated springs and the rivers of Kwilu.
