New date set for Koffi Olomide concert in Paris

Kinshasa, June 22nd, 2025 (CPA)-, The singer Koffi Olomide from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) promised on Saturday to set a new date for his concert initially scheduled for 19 July in a Paris venue, in France, according to a video viewed on Saturday by CPA. ‘(…) I’m telling you, we’re going to do this concert, certainly not on July 19th as planned, but you’ll have the date in due course,’ said singer Koffi Olomidé in the video.

‘I’m telling you this because you’ve been asking a lot of questions. Take a good look at me, I look like anything but someone who’s retiring or giving up. We intend to take steps to ensure that in the future they don’t get their way,’ he added. For the boss of Quartier Latin International, his concert at the Vincennes racecourse would have been the most legendary in the history of Congolese music. ‘I’m asking you to show solidarity, to stand up for me more than ever, to make me as proud of you as I’ve always been. I’m going to show you that I’m an artist who deserves your trust.

You’ll have your concert very soon’, he addressed his music fans, concluding: ‘I’m asking you, who are creative and strategic, to invade the social networks from now on to carry the name Tshatsho, the name Koffi Olomide, high.  Tshatsho people, Koffiphiles family, from the bottom of my heart, I wish you a wonderful music festival on this June 21st, 2025’. A singer, producer and performer from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Koffi Olomide is one of the most prolific writers of Congolese rumba. For his contribution to Congolese and African music, as well as his artistic longevity, he has been made a definitive member of the French-based society of authors, composers and music publishers (SACEM).
