Beni, April 6th, 2025 (CPA)- Six people have been killed on Saturday by the Ugandan terrorists from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in Bikere, near Mayangose, in the Bapakombe Bakondo groupement in the centre-east of Beni territory, in the province of Nord-Kivu, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to an administrative source. « We are dismayed once again to find six of our compatriots’ throats slit by the ruthless Allied Democratic Forces (Adf) here at Bukere near Mayangose (…) As you know, on Tuesday April 1st, the FARD-UPDF coalition forces have announced the redeployment of soldiers in this area. We believe that the enemy, who is well aware of the strike force of this coalition, has executed these farmers for fear of seeing its adventure stopped, and that is why it is unloading on innocent people without force », has declared Atchou Taibo, head of the Bapakombe-Bakondo group. He has, to this end, asked the joint FARDC-UPDF force to speed up the deployment of its soldiers in all the areas already mapped by their services in order to save human lives in Mayangose-Kididiwe. The head of the Bapakombe-Bakondo groupement has also called on farmers to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious movements in order to form a genuine third army after the joint force in this region. Eleven farmers who had been abducted on Wednesday April 2nd remain unaccounted for, and the armed forces are hunting down their enemies, has announced Elie Mbafumoja, the elected provincial deputy for Beni.
