Presentation of the new official seal to the DRC embassy in Benelux

Brussels, April 15th, 2025 (CPA) – The ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to Benelux, Christian Ndongala, received the country’s new official seal on Tuesday from the delegation of the Ministries in charge of Justice and the Keeper of the Seals and Foreign Affairs, at a ceremony in Brussels, Belgium, according to a press release. ‘This operation is aimed in particular at putting an end to the panoply of seals in use in the DRC’s chancelleries’, explained Symphorien Mpoyi, adviser to the office of the Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals.

According to the source, the delegation consisted of Symphorien Mpoyi Tukome and Christian Molebe Ikoko, respectively adviser to the cabinet of the Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, and the head of department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The press release stated that the approach taken by the Ministry in charge of Justice ‘is justified by the State’s obligation to seal the deeds and other documents it produces in order to protect itself against the falsification of official titles and to guarantee their authenticity’. Brussels is the first stage of this mission, which is being carried out thanks to funding from the Anti-Corruption Fund (Foleco) and will continue in all the DRC’s diplomatic missions. ACP/
