Lusambo, April 1st, 2025 (CPA) – The digitisation of the system for collecting taxes and fees owed to the province, as part of the fight against revenue leakage, was launched on Monday in Lusambo, Sankuru province (central Democratic Republic of Congo) at a ceremony presided over by the governor. « We are delighted, to date, to offer taxpayers a system that will enable us to digitise our system for collecting taxes and fees owed to the province, with the aim of combating revenue leakage », has declared Victor Kitenge, Governor. For Chard Sarl, a local company, this programme will help to highlight several factors, including the effective mobilisation and channelling of revenue, increased employment for young people, the improvement of basic socio-cultural infrastructure, and the opening up of the province. The ceremony of launching the digitisation of the collection system took place in the presence of political and administrative authorities, managers of the company Chard sarl, agents and executives of the Sankuru revenue department (DGRSA), notables, traders and several other personalities gathered at the central market of Lusambo where the activity took place.
