Signing of an agreement between two organisations to promote the tourism sector in DRC

Kinshasa, May 22nd, 2025 (CPA) – An agreement to promote the tourism sector and create jobs was signed on Wednesday between the Ministry in charge of Tourism and the commercial bank Equity BCDC during a ceremony organised in Kinshasa (capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo), according to a press release received by CPA on Thursday.

‘This strategic initiative, sealed between Mr Didier M’pambia Musanga, Minister in charge of Tourism, and Mr Willy Mulamba, Managing Director of Equity BCDC, marks a significant step forward in joint efforts to make tourism a lever for economic growth, job creation and cultural influence in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) ‘, it is read.

 According to the source, Equity BCDC is committed to supporting the Ministry in charge of Tourism in the structuring and banking of tourism operators, the financing of high-potential projects and the digitalisation of tourism-related services.

The agreement also provides for the development of training, financial education and inclusion initiatives for players in the sector, with a particular focus on young people and women.  « This partnership with Equity BCDC opens up new prospects for boosting our tourism sector.
