Gemena, May 27th, 2025 (CPA) – The government of the province of South-Ubangi, in the north-west of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has made a positive assessment of its achievements in less than a year, according to the provincial Minister of Justice. ‘I’ve assessed the record of the provincial governor in just 10 months, and I’ve noticed that he’s broken a record with a largely positive record in view of his achievements in less than a year’, said Emmanuel Kpedo, the provincial Minister in charge of Justice.
‘This is the first time since 2015 that we have seen urban roads rehabilitated with funds from the provincial government, construction sites for administrative buildings for various provincial public institutions, and several projects initiated across the province, including: manual road maintenance, where 10,000 hoes were distributed at a rate of 50 per group, seeds and chemical fertilizers to boost agriculture, and the donation of rolling stock to government departments.
In addition, two of the five transco buses were handed over by the central government on the initiative of the Head of State’, he added. Minister Kpedo urged the sons and daughters of Sud-Ubangi to seize this opportunity and support the provincial governor in order to realize the Head of State’s vision for the development of Sud-Ubangi province in particular, and the country in general. The provincial Minister in charge of Justice was Minister of Finance in the previous government and is currently Minister in charge of Justice in the current government, led by Governor Michée Mobonga Lobo.
