The concert by Koffi at the Vincennes racecourse, a celebration of an artistic heritage (A cultural operator)

Kinshasa, May 12th, 2025 (CPA)- The concert by the famous singer Koffi Olomide from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), scheduled for July 19th in Paris, France, was seen on Monday as a celebration of his artistic heritage, according to a note from a cultural operator consulted the same day by CPA. ‘’The Vincennes racecourse on July 19th, 2025 promises to be a landmark event, a celebration of an artistic legacy. Koffi Olomide’s loyal and passionate fans will be there to celebrate the artist, to vibrate to the rhythm of his melodies and to enjoy a unique experience’, has said Yves Kambala, a Congolese cultural operator. ‘This event will be an opportunity for him to show that he is still here, that he continues to evolve and adapt, while remaining true to himself’, he has added. For him, ‘Koffi Olomide is an emblematic figure in Congolese music who continues to fascinate and provoke passionate debate’, adding that the impact of the man nicknamed ‘Mopao Mokonzi’, Koffi Olomide, on the African music scene remains ‘undeniable’.  ‘Although he has seen the emergence of new stars shining in the musical sky, Olomide remains a driving force, a pillar whose influence endures. The release of his latest album, ‘Goat intemporel’, is a perfect example of this. The title, which evokes both greatness and timelessness, has sparked a lot of discussion’, says Yves Kambala in his note. Born Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba, Koffi Olomide is a singer-songwriter and music producer. He has more than thirty albums to his credit, including ‘Ngounda’, ‘Rue d’amour’, ‘Henriquet’ and many others.
