Kinshasa, July 3rd, 2025 (CPA) – The foundation of peace within African society has been advocated in a book entitled: ‘Peace in the African Spiritual Tradition’ by a writer from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), joined on Thursday by CPA. « This book emphasises the foundations of peace within African societies, which have always sought the harmony that guarantees this peace. Thus, those who do not practise truth and justice towards their neighbours cannot be at peace with themselves and their families, nor with society, and even less so with nature and God. They cannot therefore create conditions of harmony in their environment. (…) The contemporary African no longer knows what h has been, nor what he is, let alone what he will become, » has declared Olivier Sangi, author of the book . According to him, ‘today’s African is plunged into a deep cataleptic sleep that requires a great deal of energy to wake him up.’ In this 43-page essay, published by Mont de Cristal, the author gradually leads the reader to rediscover the pillars of deep Africa. Olivier Sangi is a writer, ambassador for peace and griot of the African word. He is also a host of cultural evenings, producer of poetry shows, director of research at the Centre for Studies and Research on African Values (CERVA) and head of the research division at the National Institute of Social Work (INTS). He is also the author of several books, including ‘Let’s Reconcile,’ ‘Bibiche: Heart of Gold or Witch,’ and ‘Deliverance at Paradise Bar.’ CPA/JF
