Tributes from a senator to the architects of a sovereign DRC

Kinshasa, July 1^st, 2025, (CPA).- Tributes have been paid to the architects and iconic figures who have fought for the sovereignty of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the occasion of its 65^th anniversary of independence by a senator on her account X, consulted on Tuesday at CPA. ‘On this symbolic day, as we celebrate our 65 years of independence, I would like to pay tribute to all those who gave their lives for a free, strong and sovereign Democratic Republic of the Congo,’ it is read on the Senator Anne Mbuguje Maremba’s X account.  Faced with the current situation in the country, the senator does not hide her wish to see a lasting peace return to eastern DRC and other parts of the country. ‘May unity and love for our country guide our journey towards a reconciled, prosperous and peaceful Congo.
