Advocacy for the creation of a « Commissariat for Congolese Abroad »

Kinshasa, April 12th, 2021 (CPA).– The coordinator of the League of Congolese Families, an association based in Belgium, Emmanuel Biniamu Nganga, pleaded Saturday during an interview with the CPA for the establishment of a structure called: « Commissariat des congolais de l’homore », in order to attract more national investors living in Europe.

Mr. Biniamu on a working stay in Kinshasa, on behalf of his association, indicated his mission in Kinshasa aims to carry out a prospecting study of the investment market in the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), sector growth driver for any developing country.

According to him, the creation of a police station for Congolese abroad, once set up, it will constitute a focal point for Congolese living in the West, because, he said, the Congolese abroad are say they are prepared to make their modest contribution to the economy of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in the sense that they already have projects that create jobs for the benefit of Congolese youth. « Our association is ready to play the role of intermediary between the government and the community of Congolese living abroad, in order to facilitate the investments of the sons of the country.

But for this, we are asking the Congolese authorities to make administrative procedures easy on the one hand, to simplify the standardization of customs services, on the other hand,”said Mr. Biniamu, before adding that the League of Families Congolese has, to its credit, several actions already carried out, in particular, assistance to Congolese families wherever they are abroad in matters of family integration.

As a reminder, the establishment of a Commissariat for Congolese Abroad is an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially the branch responsible for Congolese Abroad. An initiative that had not yielded the expected results these days.
