Kinshasa, August 24th, 2021 (CPA).– The agents of the General Directorate of Customs and Excise (DGDA) started Monday in Kinshasa, reflections on the revision of customs protocols between the countries of the Common Market of Eastern and Southern Africa (LIKE THIS).
For two days, the participants in these meetings will reflect together with the agents of the Congolese Control Office (OCC) committed to the quality control of products entering the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
For the provincial director of the DGDA / Katanga, Eric Hata Kafuta who supervises the work, the objectives are, among others, to determine the degree of the pilot phase of the single customs territory, to record the concerns of the actors and to propose appropriate solutions and other objectives assigned to this public service in accordance with the protocols signed in 2020.
Mr. Eric Hata Kafuta took the opportunity to call the customs officers of their services and those of the Congolese Control Office (OCC) to monitor the quality of goods entering the DRC.
