Kinshasa, March 25th, 2021 (CPA) – The Minister of State, Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Marie Tumba Nzeza, said on Wednesday at Sultani hotel in Kinshasa, during the opening of the 3rd Session of the Tuniso Economic Forum -Congolese, that the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) agree with that of the Republic of Tunisia for continued solidarity.
For the Minister of State, Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, the organization of the 3rd session of Tuniso-Congolese Economic Forum is timely, because, she said, it responds to the 2nd strategic axis of the program of the term of office of the President of the Republic of DRC, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo in its section, Sustainable economic growth.
« The vision of the Congolese Head of State is to improve the business climate and promote entrepreneurship, make the mining and hydrocarbons sector attractive and efficient, diversify the economy and develop trade, industry as well as Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) as well as Small and medium-sized industries (SMI).
It is also about developing agriculture and agribusiness, tourism and the arts, land use planning, development and modernization of infrastructure”, she said.
For her, sustainable economic growth also requires meeting the challenges of access to electricity and water as well as the fight against climate change.
This is why she was happy to take part in this meeting, remaining convinced of the number of business and cooperation opportunities available between the two countries.
Marie Tumba Nzenza affirmed that this solidarity cooperation which she wished to be as dynamic as possible between DRC and the Republic of Tunisia will make it possible to realize the will and the vision of the two Heads of State to bring the two countries into a mutually beneficial strategic partnership.
She assured that the draft memorandum of understanding already examined and accepted by the experts of the two countries will be submitted to the signature, in a short time, in Tunis or even in Kinshasa. These agreements will give the impetus to a win-win cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples, she said, before recalling the excellence of the relations which unite the two countries, for the example of the participation of the contingent. Tunisian military, as part of peacekeeping operations in Congo during the post-independence unrest and the reception of Congolese students who are pursuing their university studies in Tunisia.
For his part, the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jarandi, who led his country’s delegation, said that the Tunisian multisectoral economic mission is visiting DRC, with the aim of learning about the successes of the Congolese in innovative and high-growth sectors added value such as “The young startup”, which launched the first electric-powered mobility service in Central Africa.
« Africa must trust Africa, it is the future of our continent which necessarily requires the adoption of a common vision expressed by the President of DRC, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and by the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kaïs Saïed, who instructed me to bear witness to this inter-African solidarity and to seize the opportunities that we must exploit to conceal this fraternity between the two countries ”, he declared, adding that this in order to bring together businessmen, politicians and entrepreneurs for the promotion and bilateral growth of two countries in order to support them in their respective actions.
