Haut-Katanga: Holding from September 16 to 18 of the 5th edition of the National Energy Conference in Lubumbashi

Kinshasa, September 14th, 2021 (CPA).- The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Environment and Sustainable Development, Eve Bazaiba Masudi, has been staying since Monday, September 13th, in Lubumbashi, capital of the Haut-Katanga province, where she is invited to take part in the 5th edition of the National Energy Conference to be held from September 16th to 18th in the said province, the CPA of the Ministry of the Environment learned on Tuesday. According to the source, these meetings are organized by the Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC).

This 5th edition will address several themes including that related to the issue of the environment in energy projects. The same source also indicates that this conference will be marked by legal and regulatory advances in the electricity sector, with the operationalization of the Energy Sector Regulatory Authority and the National Electrification and Services Agency energy in urban and peri-urban areas (ANSER). Participants will attend the presentation of the government’s priority investment program in the electricity sector and investments made in the private sector. The achievements of the National Electricity Company (SNEL), the Inga dam will also be discussed during this conference, without forgetting the aspects of international cooperation within the framework of the African Union, research and development. ‘environment.
