Solar energy at the center of exchanges between the company Baroma and the Minister of Water Resources and Electricity

Kinshasa, June 12th, 2021 (CPA).- The Minister of Water Resources and Electricity, Olivier Mwenze Mukaleng, exchanged Thursday, in his work office with a delegation from the international solar energy company called Baroma, who came to inform the Minister of his interest and commitment to work in the DRC in the field of solar energy, the CPA learned Friday from the said ministry.

The head of the delegation, Giann Vernetti, indicated that there is enormous potential for developing hydraulic and solar energy in the DRC, specifying that his company is ready to work as long as possible in Congo. He said that she has been in Congo since 2018 where she is concerned with carrying out large solar energy projects, which she considers very important for human development.

He asserted that large cities as well as small including villages need electricity for industrial and mining development whose activities are compatible with their society. The Congo, he indicated, is a signatory of the Paris agreement relating to climate change, this is a reason for them to contribute positively through their activities.

In the DRC, the company has the first project in Kolwezi, in the province of Lualaba where they have land and the studies are almost completed, while expressing to the Minister their desire to extend this project to the east of the country, especially in Goma. and Bukavu with solar rhinestones of medium and large sizes.
