Kinshasa, May 29th, 2021 (CPA).– The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) through the Minister of Digital, Désiré Cashmir Eberande Kolongele and the French Republic through the ambassador, François Pujolas, exchanged Thursday in Kinshasa on the action plan for digitization of digital in the country, learned Friday the CPA of this ministry. According to Ambassador François Pujolas, the exchanges of views with the head of digital focused on the orientations that are followed by France and the DRC within the framework of the common partnership.
They also focused on support for public governance by the French Development Agency (AFD), which is working in particular on a strategic project to interconnect financial and revenue authorities, with the aim of improving transparency and efficiency of public finance management, before stressing that it is a project that consists of digitizing this sector. “We believe this project will grow to require the minister’s full attention.
Through AFD, we are going to help the private sector, a representation of Proparco, a subsidiary in Kinshasa whose task is to develop support for the digital ecosystem in the broad sense in particular, development of infrastructure, push and develop Startups that are young innovative companies in the new technologies sector. These to ensure that we can put Kinshasa on the map of digital Africa, « said François Pujolas. The French diplomat also mentioned the upcoming trip to Paris by Minister Eberande Kolongele within the framework of the international exhibition “VivaTech”.
