Kinshasa, May 29th, 2021 (CPA).– The DRC has just set up a National Agency for Export Products (ANAPEX) which aims to promote all Congolese products, the CPA of the Ministry of Foreign Trade learned on Friday. .The source points out that ANAPEX was created by Decree No. 20/003 of 05 March 2020 on a proposal from the Minister of Foreign Trade, Jean-Lucien Bussa. Its mission was to promote the exports of all Congolese products of agricultural, agro-industrial, industrial and artisanal origin. It also assumes the mission of trade expansion by intensifying trade with third economies.
Thus, after the presidential ordinance appointing its members of the board of directors was made public on May 25th, 2021. The latter is chaired by Ms. Julienne Mundela Yabadi. The first meeting to make contact between the board of directors of ANAPEX and the supervisory authority was held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Trade Jean-Lucien Bussa. Its purpose was to identify the members of this Agency. According to the President of the Board of Directors, Ms. Mundela, ANAPEX is empowered, among other things, to carry out studies on the export possibilities of Congolese products and on the characteristics of the external market on behalf of the public-private sectors and to facilitate business relations between Congolese exporters and the outside world.
