The government called on to choose urgent and priority projects for solutions to the population

Kinshasa, May 3rd, 2021 (CPA).– The government headed by Prime Minister Jean Michel Sama Lukonde is called upon to choose projects that are urgent and priority, in order to provide operational solutions to the population as far as possible, in order to meet the needs of the Congolese, argued Mr. Stephen Bwansa, a Congolese economic and political actor in the diaspora, during an interview with CPA on Sunday.

He said that on the one hand, ‘he is aware of the crying need for the development and reconstruction of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), but on the other hand, realism pushes him to recognize that given the means in the possession of the current government, it will not be able to embrace all at the same time and resolve, within the time limit which is currently its own, all the evils that plague the national economy.

Regarding the program of actions of the new government, he said, and by taking a close look at this program, Stephen Bwansa quickly understood that his primary objective would be to build a strong, prosperous and united Congo, for which the actions to be carried out are consecutively linked to the time and to the economic decisions that the government would adopt.

According to him, time, as we know it, does not have a political camp, nor a state, because this one plays and fulfills independently its role of revealing the performances of development. In this, Stephen Bwansa informed, the government that the Congolese people waited patiently for, will not be spared in the criticism and sanctions of the people.

« I am convinced in my heart that the government will take into account in its actions the changes or turning points that our century is experiencing, in relation to the interests and needs of economic, financial and cultural development as well as the change of the political game at the international level, especially since, the so – called developed or industrialized countries present a strong need for development and growth and competition as usual will be merciless. As a result, the political vision of the Head of State, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, today translated in the form of public policies, not only needs strategies, in order to complete and materialize the said project, but above all to make trade-offs essential in the project and also focus more energy on remunerative or productive projects”, argued Stephen Bwansa.

To do this, he said, the Prime Minister and his government should focus their fight on building infrastructure capable of creating production chains, with the aim of boosting the economic system, while creating jobs, and above all to respond effectively to the transformation of the new market system at regional and international level.

In conclusion, he wished the new government good luck, while warning it that time has no ally but results. ACP
