The industrial policy of the DRC presented to the bishops of the CENCO

Kinshasa, June 25th, 2021 (CPA).– The Minister of Industry, Julien Paluku Kahongya presented Thursday in Kinshasa, the industrial policy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the government’s ambitions to the bishops of the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO ), learned the CPA from this ministry.

According to the source, Minister Paluku invited the Catholic Bishops to get involved in the implementation of an aggressive industrial policy with the advent of the African Continental Free Trade Economic Zone-ZLECAF and the opportunities of AGOA and of the Chinese market.

CENCO welcomed the Industrialization Plan of the DRC with the creation of Special Economic Zones in the six industrial spaces, Paluku Sikuli Melchisedech, Bishop of the diocese of Butembo-Beni.

The Minister of Industry also indicated that exchanges with other social strata will continue across the country with different social strata. ACP/
