50 albinos trained in the manufacture of organic cosmetic products for sensitive skin

Kinshasa, September 1st, 2021 (CPA).- Fifty (50) albinos, members of the Mwimba Texas Foundation recently followed at the Sultani hotel in the town of Gombe, a training course focused on the manufacture of organic cosmetic products for sensitive skin, organized by the Vodacom Congo foundation.

During this training, young Albinos learned how to make soaps and beauty milks based on organic products found throughout the country, including cucumber, turmeric and clay.

The Minister in charge of people living with disabilities, Irène Esambo, who awarded patents to the participants at the end of the ceremony, welcomed the initiative of Vodacom Congo and its Foundation, which, according to her, goes in the right line of the Head of State’s vision for people living with disabilities. She pledged to invest in supporting this initiative and making it nationwide.

For her part, the president of the Vodacom Foundation, Ms. Viviane Mulenda, congratulated the winners for their application while asking them to get down to work in order to honor this training and to become real development actors.

This training, which was initiated and financially supported by the Vodacom Foundation as part of its “Albinos, proud and autonomous” project in collaboration with the Asbl Femmes mission solidaire, will continue in other cities such as Kananga, Tshikapa and Mbuji -Mayi, in Kasai. ACP/
