Kinshasa, April 31, 2021 (CPA).- Women constituting Gender focal points of some ministries including those of gender and foreign affairs and civil society activists have been taking part since Tuesday in a workshop on female leadership organized by the ministry in charge of Environment, in partnership with the reforestation and horticulture department (DRHo) of this ministry.
According to the organization, these meetings aim to remind participants of the role that women in the trade have already played and continue to do throughout the world for the emergence of society. Ms. Céline Pembele, director of the HR department, specified that this activity, which benefits from the financial and technical support of the “Hans Seidel Foundation”, focuses primarily on the component related to awareness and civic education for a responsible management of the environment.
The workshop also aims to push the woman to understand what she needs in relation to the national theme for her development as a leader of excellence in an egalitarian and digital society in the era of COVID- 19.
The expected results at the end of this workshop
This workshop will enable women from state institutions and civil society organizations to have the same understanding and awareness of a range of gender issues that arise in female leadership excellence during COVID. -19.
It will also allow participants to become aware of the importance of gender in the protection of the environment and to better master their role and responsibility as well as to get them to engage in active participation in the fight against climate change. ACP/
