Goma, May 31st, 2021 (CPA).– A technical team from the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation is staying in Goma to assess the first emergencies and the needs of the displaced in order to define an action plan, said a statement from the said foundation which reached the CPA on Sunday.
According to the source, this structure led by the First Lady has come to support the work of local authorities and NGOs participating in the emergency aid provided to this stricken population.
The emissaries of the Head of State’s wife, on their arrival, presented their civilities to the Military Governor of the province of North Kivu, Lieutenant-General Constant Ndima Kongba before participating in a meeting with the management commission of the crisis put in place by the provincial authorities.
This was followed by a raid by the FDNT team in the town of Sake, where a large number of gomatrachians took refuge.
The delegation of the Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi Foundation assessed the needs felt by people on the move in this city of Masisi territory located 27 km from Goma.
