Kinshasa, April 12th, 2021 (CPA).- The Senate heard Friday, at the People’s Palace, the report of the economic-financial and extended good governance commission on the identification of priority projects with visible impact to be financed up to the level of 100 million dollars, within the framework of the Sino-Congolese program, in the 26 provinces, during a plenary session under the direction of the president of the upper house of the Parliament, Pr. Modeste Bahati Lukwebo.

On the occasion of the examination of the finance bill for the financial year 2020, the joint committee of the National Assembly-Senate, had released additional resources of 168.7 billion Congolese francs, or a total of 100 million dollars renewed in 2021 as part of the investment budget.

These include the rehabilitation of school infrastructure, the construction of buildings for Provincial Assemblies, airports, etc. Given certain contradictions noted, the president of the Senate, Modeste Bahati Lukwebo proposed the one week deadline given to the commission to take into account all the concerns of the elected representatives.
