Civil society in Grand Bandundu welcomes the Head of State’s desire to renew the Congolese political class

Kinshasa, April 26^th, 2021 (CPA).- Members of civil society from Grand Bandundu coordinated by Jean-Marie Ntantu- Mey welcomed the will of the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi for the renewal of the Congolese political class and of the interest given to the participation of women in decision-making bodies. They said so in a statement on the publication of the government of the Sacred Union of the Nation, read on Saturday, in the commune of Ngaliema, by the rapporteur of this citizen structure, Jules Mimvudi. Members of civil society in Grand Bandundu deplored that their specifications submitted to the Prime Minister, Sama Lukonde were not taken into account in the context of the publication of members of the government given that they had responded to the consultations initiated by the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi. These specifications, underlines the source, are part of the unwavering support for the vision of the Head of State and of the Sacred Union. “It was a tacit contract between the groups and the Head of State. We dare to believe that what happened is an oversight, thus, we are confident that this omission will be repaired during the next appointment in the portfolio of the State and in diplomacy ”, declared the members of the civil society of Grand Bandundu. . They took this opportunity, to congratulate the members of the government who were appointed, before inviting them to have love for the motherland and to work for the best interests of the nation. The civil society of Grand Bandundu reiterates its commitment to support the government of the Sacred Union of the Nation as long as it remains in accordance with its vision and the interest of the population. In this regard, she proposed four priority axes that the government team should tackle, namely, emergency support programs for improving the social conditions of the Congolese, stabilization and economic recovery, priority projects and the security and territorial integrity program, the case of eastern DRC. The civil society of Grand Bandundu also reminded the Prime Minister, Sama Lukonde that the development of Grand Bandundu passes through the Kakobola dam, whose works have already been completed and that the transport of electric current to the surrounding territories of Grand Bandundu and part of Kasai is never effective until today.
