Economic operators in the province of Lualaba called on to appropriate IPR

Kinshasa, September 24th, 2021 (CPA) – The director of the cabinet of the Minister in charge of Industry, Jean Dieudonne Kavese on Wednesday called on economic operators and the intellectual cream of the province of Lualaba to take ownership of the Industrialization Master Plan (DPI) of the fact that it constitutes a compass for the development of DRC, learned CPA on Thursday of the said ministry. Mr. Kavese made the appeal during an audience that Interim Governor Fifi Masuka granted to the delegation dispatched to Lualaba province by the Minister in charge of Industry.

Made up of the Chief of Staff, Jean-Dieudonne Kavese and the Chargé des missions of the Special Economic Zones Agency-AZES, Auguy Bolanda, and this delegation handed over a copy of DRC Industrialization Master Plan (PDI) to the temporary governor, Fifi Masuka. « The provincial government of Lualaba, the economic operators, the entrepreneurs and the intellectual cream of this part of the country are called to appropriate PDI, because it constitutes a compass for the development of the DRC », indicated the director of Minister’s office of Industry upon exiting the hearing. Lualaba provincial authority, on this occasion, welcomed the work done by the Congolese government through the Ministry in charge of Industry, in particular that of providing the country with this essential tool which augurs its development. « Our objective was to present our civilities to him and officially hand him the Industrialization Master Plan which contains the various paths and orientations in relation to the industrialization of our country. This plan emphasizes the creation of Special Economic Zones. It is in this capacity that the minister asked us to meet the governor with the Missions Officer of Special Economic Zones in DRC », said Mr. Auguy Bolanda. To this end, director of cabinet of minister Julien Paluku said that the governor of Lualaba province was favorable in relation to the sites that had already been identified during our last visit to the province with the intervention of Lualaba provincial minister in charge of Industry. According to it, three sites have already been proposed, two of which are preparing favorably so that work can begin quickly.
