FARDC and PNC invited to assume their family responsibilities

Kinshasa, May 31^st, 2021 (CPA).- The Minister of Gender, Family and Children, Gisèle Ndaya Luseba invited the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) and the National Police (PNC) to assume their family responsibility through the lifelong education of their children.

Minister Gisèle Ndaya extended this invitation to them during a series of visits she made, Saturday and Sunday in the Badiadingi and Lieutenant-Colonel Kokolo camps, on the sidelines of the closing of the activities of the International Day of the Family. .

« Children constitute the first wealth that God gave to men and women after their conjugal union, which is why parents are called to faithfully fulfill their family duties as they do towards the State. Congolese by serving him under the flag, ”said Minister Ndaya Luseba, who urged her interlocutors to promote the rights of children in military camps.

Previously, Colonel Samuel Tem Muanda Nyati, commander of Camp Kokolo, thanked the Minister of Gender for the choice made on this camp, one of the largest in the DRC, spread over an area of ​​6 km long and 4 km wide large.

He pleaded for Mrs. Gisèle NDaya to be the interlocutor of military women and wives with the government of the Republic in order to take into account the specifications of the FARDC and the PNC on all plans requiring the intervention of the competent public authority.

Colonel Samuel Tem Muanda pinpointed several difficulties that the inhabitants of this military camp face, namely, the precarious living conditions of 2,474 war-wounded soldiers, widows and orphans of soldiers fallen on the battlefield who live in this place, unemployment and juvenile delinquency, the lack of remedial and vocational training centers for young people being of importance not to demonstrate as well as the care of this category of vulnerable people.

In terms of infrastructure, the officials of these two military camps called for the involvement of the government of the Republic for the modernization of residential houses and other service premises dating from the colonial era, easy access to the building. ‘drinking water and electricity, construction of sanitation facilities to prevent the spread of diseases of dirty hands and water-borne, etc.
