Isiro, April 12th, 2021 (CPA).- Several thousand people demonstrated on Saturday in Isiro, capital of the Haut-Uele province, their support for the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, (DRC) Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo as well as ‘to provincial political institutions, during a march organized on Saturday.
The demonstrators, made up of different social strata of the population from both civil society and political organizations, left the AOG Tuluba church located in Mendambo commune, passing through the Munyere roundabout and then Masizandre boulevard to at the Haut-Uele Provincial Assembly where a memorandum was given to the president of this institution, Afounde Afongenda Sumbu. Previously, the provincial Minister of Infrastructures, Norbert Mandana had recalled that the population must know how to say no to the multiple attempts to destabilize our political institutions legally established in Haut-Uélé, including the Government and the Provincial Assembly.
Norbert Mandana also reiterated the inalienable support of the marchers for the vision of the Head of State, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo consecrated in « Peuple d’Abord », before pointing out that it is thanks to the current institutional stability that the development of the province is propelled and that must be preserved at all costs. In reaction, Afounde Afongenda Sumbu, said he was satisfied with this initiative before thanking the demonstrators for their support and their determination to accompany the development momentum underway in Haut-Uélé.
Satisfaction for the action of the rehousing of the anarchic occupants of the Uele railway
Attorney Héritier Atibasaye Mutupeke, advisor to the Governor and member of the organizing committee of the march in support of the Head of State, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi and the provincial political institutions, welcomed on Friday the action of the rehousing of the anarchic occupants of Uele Railway, CFU / Isiro, at the modern CAPSA pilot site, by Governor Christophe Baseane Nangaa.
According to Attorney Héritier Atibasaye Mutupeke, this march of support for the President of the Republic Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and the stability of provincial political institutions is also a good way to support the development momentum of the Haut-Uele province initiated under the leadership of Governor Christophe Baseane Nangaa in collaboration with the president of the Provincial Assembly of Haut-Uele, Afounde Afongenda Sumbu.
