Kinshasa, July 10th, 2021 (CPA).- The Minister of Higher and University Education (ESU), Muhindo Nzangi, met in his office, with the Tunisian ambassador in the DRC, Bouzekri Rmeli on the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in terms of academic training and scientific research, learned Friday at the CPA of the minister’s office.
According to the source, the two personalities spoke of the need to train Congolese and Tunisian technicians in the fields of oil and gas as well as the exploitation of methane gas in Lake Kivu.
The Tunisian diplomat also announced to the Minister of ESU the holding of the Universities and Vocational Training Centers Fair in Tunisia from September 6 to 8, 2021.
ESU Minister Muhindo Nzangi praised this bilateral cooperation which is part of his vision at the head of his ministry.
Already more than 4000 scholarships from Tunisia granted to the DRC
As part of the cooperation that has existed for several years between the two countries, Tunisia has already granted Congolese students more than four thousand (4000) scholarships in various fields of university and professional training, the source indicates.
As part of bilateral (State to State), multilateral (international) and regional (sub-region) cooperation, it should be remembered that the Ministry of Higher and University Education maintains partnership relations and concludes cooperation with States, donors, organizations and foreign universities for the improvement of the quality of higher education.
