Patrick Muyaya Katembwe breathes new life into government-media collaboration

Kinshasa May 29th, 2021 (CPA).- The collaboration between the Ministry of Communication and the media and the Congolese press records a new dynamism instilled by Minister Patrick Muyaya Katembwe, we note in the various circles of Congolese journalists. We emphasize in particular the fact that since Patrick Muyaya took charge of the Communication and Media portfolio, spokesperson for the government, the DRC is now present and well present on the media front. This is timely, we welcome, at this time when the country must know how to manage and face two extremely delicate and difficult situations: on the one hand, the state of siege decreed by the President of the Republic to end, once and for all, with the recurring violence in the provinces of North Kivu and Ituri and, on the other hand, the natural disaster constituted by the eruption of the Nyiragongo volcano on Saturday, May 22 and the consequences that she trained. Situations that require the communicator not only to be tactful, but also to be constantly on the alert himself. Former media professional and national deputy mastering the art of communication, Patrick Muyaya Katembwe plays his part perfectly in this government known as the « warriors », according to the same source. Moreover, the speed with which the new Communication and Media Cabinet now takes charge of the management of certain press files is an additional reason for satisfaction for Congolese journalists. At the CPA in particular, where we are delighted at the promptness with which the Minister of Communication and the Media responded to the letter from the Director General, Professor Lambert Kaboyi, accrediting a permanent journalist from this body to his cabinet, we are convinced that this example of Patrick Muyaya, who perfectly masters the functioning of the media, will be followed by all the other ministers who have not yet reacted in the same way.
