Kinshasa, August 17th, 2021 (CPA).- The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Christophe Lutundula, on behalf of the head of government, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, paid a visit of comfort and consolation to the biological family of the Congolese student, Joel Shindani Malu, assassinated in India.
« The President of the Republic, the Prime Minister as well as the whole government of the Republic are shocked by what happened to the young Congolese student who went to India to prepare for his future through training », said
the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs who was accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Paul-Gaspard Ngondankoy Nkoy-ea-Loongya.
He also promised the involvement of the Government on the diplomatic level so that the responsibilities are established and that the remains of the illustrious disappeared is quickly repatriated to DRC.
“We are doing everything according to diplomatic and legal rules so that the body of the illustrious disappeared are repatriated, so that everything is done according to tradition and it will be done. Everything will be done and responsibilities will be established”, underlined the Deputy Prime Minister.
Christophe Lutundula pointed out that the President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo decided on the return of Congolese stranded in India due to COVID-19, before calling on the population to calm. “We ask all the Congolese who are outside and in India, who have nothing to do there, to come back. We have to work. This is where we will build our country, not outside. We have to go back”, he said.
Very moved, Odon Malu Lupamana, biological father of the late student, Joel Shindani, said he was dismayed by this heinous act committed on his son. Thus, he paid a heartfelt tribute to the country’s authorities for their support in this harsh ordeal. “I must thank the Head of State, the Prime Minister and all the Government who took charge of the situation. I ask the population to calm down as the Deputy Prime Minister said. Everything is going normally. These are the things that happen. But already, it’s calm. We ask all those who make a mess to calm down”, said the father of the illustrious disappeared, Odon Malu Lupamana. ACP /
